:lol:should of used somthing more stable to secure it than velcro.

I keep being told to raise the car to stop it scraping... :birdy:

HaHa same here!! first one decided to give up on me after being caught a few too many times, when i got home i found a nicely melted splitter from it scraping on the road. Currenty on my 2nd one which has also seen better days lol

I took mine off yesterday as couldnt get on the ramps at kwikfit to sort my tracking out!

to be honest i wouldnt bolt them on, they are so prone to catching and scraping you might take the whole bumper off or crack/break it.

I think i prefer mine without now aswell lol

My splitter is now sitting in my garage where its will spend the rest of its life as ive scrapped the hell out of it when parking my car in the garage as there is a slight dip on the ramp as i drive down the side of my house!

Dont get me wrong i think they look very smart when its on but i would rather it off than a cracked bumper lmao

im on no3 first 1 came off as i was havin fun with my new coilies lowered it 2 the floor an lasted all of half hour hit a soakin bit of cardboard which was in the middle of the road an took my splitter under, second was on my car but wrote it off an was snapped in 2 so no use, the one thats on there now has been under the exhaust more than it has under the bumper but i refuse 2 buy another not til i get the car painted

mine lasted about 5 weeks. as soon as it was fitted i reversed out of the barn to a loud scraping noise. caught it on loads as the roads are so crap up here but the last straw was a fight with a kerb ... the splitter lost. pick up my new one tomorow when i get home though!

my car is too low to have mine on now:( it doesnt even make it out my drive and without it my bumper only ,misses by a mm or 2, the splitter lasted well at normal ride height thou, few scrapes nothing major

Only had my lcr 3 months and the splitter is still attached, however its all cracked and chipped and defo needs replacing.

Doesnt get scrapped much over speed bumps, mine gets down coming down multistorey carparks, well any carpark or drive with a slight dip!

I had one on my 172 looked quite good actually ill find a pic hang on lol

Agree with this, I hit a rabbit, which took my splitter off as it went under the car, splitter was bolted/screwed on, resulted in one of the screws not giving way, nice crack in bumper.

All repaired now, new splitter is rivetted on with small rivetts, should the same happen again, splitter "should" just rip off
