HaHa same here!! first one decided to give up on me after being caught a few too many times, when i got home i found a nicely melted splitter from it scraping on the road. Currenty on my 2nd one which has also seen better days lol
My splitter is now sitting in my garage where its will spend the rest of its life as ive scrapped the hell out of it when parking my car in the garage as there is a slight dip on the ramp as i drive down the side of my house!
Dont get me wrong i think they look very smart when its on but i would rather it off than a cracked bumper lmao
im on no3 first 1 came off as i was havin fun with my new coilies lowered it 2 the floor an lasted all of half hour hit a soakin bit of cardboard which was in the middle of the road an took my splitter under, second was on my car but wrote it off an was snapped in 2 so no use, the one thats on there now has been under the exhaust more than it has under the bumper but i refuse 2 buy another not til i get the car painted
mine lasted about 5 weeks. as soon as it was fitted i reversed out of the barn to a loud scraping noise. caught it on loads as the roads are so crap up here but the last straw was a fight with a kerb ... the splitter lost. pick up my new one tomorow when i get home though!
my car is too low to have mine on now it doesnt even make it out my drive and without it my bumper only ,misses by a mm or 2, the splitter lasted well at normal ride height thou, few scrapes nothing major
Agree with this, I hit a rabbit, which took my splitter off as it went under the car, splitter was bolted/screwed on, resulted in one of the screws not giving way, nice crack in bumper.
All repaired now, new splitter is rivetted on with small rivetts, should the same happen again, splitter "should" just rip off
