Worth tuning a GTi 2.0 8v?

my 8v always felt quicker than my current 16v because it just went from low down in the revs and i loved its lazy engine, the 16v you have to drop a gear rev its tits off to get going... but dont get me wrong i love all of that lol ... never had a 1.4 ibiza yay

wish i could change the engine but as im building it in a tarmac rally car i need to keep the engine as standard due to class regulations
would consider it in the future

I push my 1.4 to 60mph in 3rd when Im hammering it but it just whines! is this evil?

Only if you dont pat the dashboard and say sorry sorry sorry! while doing it
