Wrong car on infotainment after software update

So I did the software update supplied by East Yorkshire VAG Solutions,

Afterwards, the screen start-up was set to to the Seat logo

The car depicted in settings menus etc is now a Seat Leon

My car is a Cupra Leon Hybrid, and this was shown correctly before the update.

I managed to use OBD11 to get the start up screen back to the Cupra logo but cannot get the car itself back to Cupra.

In addition to this, under the car setting screen where you would normally scroll around the car to change light settings etc, this is now just blank.

Could someone maybe compare settings with me on OBD11?

Have a look at this thread for ideas in lieu of someone giving their settings:

You have found the flash screen for the infotainment unit, not the car screen. It may be they didn't populate the images into it. The mib2 standard in the Ateca Cupra is short of the Cupra car image, that's in that thread. The mib2 high has it in. Suspect you just got to get that parameter in if indeed the image is populated in the system. You might have to work through values going up till you find it 🤔. You need to reboot the infotainment unit with that long press each time you change the parameter.

It was at this point we got the code group

I worked out what you needed in Obdeleven then it became apparent that the mib2 firmware was lacking in the Cupra images other than the flash screen. It could be the release of the firmware you upgraded to. You could try downgrading via the mibsoltions link shown on the firmware thread. That's if you can find your old release.

Or ask East Yorkshire for a copy of your old release. I'm assuming we aren't talking mib3. The poster on the mib2 Ateca Cupra was miffed they didn't have the Cupra image. All Cupra Ateca with mib2 shipped outside Europe had the mib2 standard unit so that issue was specific to Ateca Cupras outside Europe.

If you do get a VCDS scan of the Leon in question you can pass that infotainment long string to get the Obdeleven equivalent but... It feels like you have missing images. The flash screen and the car images are linked together... That's what I found when I made my Seat Ateca into a Cupra Ateca to answer the question of the thread. So try reverting back and see whether you get the image.

Hi,

Cupra Leon Hybrid is the newest gen, so it’s MIB3. The update applied actually changes a lot more than the infotainment screen.

Have checked over MIB2 stuff but there seems to be some differences in bytes used and I don’t want to break something.

Then you do need a similar car's scan. You could look at the same platform in a different brand and see whether anyone has published anything useful. As said in the mib2 infotainment the parameter that changes the Cupra brand on the splash screen also changes in synch the cars model graphics. May be that one you have already found needs incrementing further. Alternative theory they havent implemented the car's graphics in the firmware like the mib2 standard for the Ateca Cupra.
