Here are a couple more of mine with boost, but poor camera man skills (Mat!) so very windy, if you listern to the first one, right at the beginning and just as I enter the dartford tunnel for best sound..

mmm jury's out to lunch on that one sparky at the moment (imo) - when u got time get some more up and i'll have a better listen
Thats in limp mode, basically makes the exhaust note deep, and no go.. no boost ya see.. personally sounds great on tickover, but once moving its too loud without boost, and you cant get away as its too slow!

I thaught you were joking about getting vids... lol that sounds nice - pretty loud aswell lol. Is it a milltek or did you get it custom made at an exhaust place?

Its a custom made jobbie, costs half of a miltek and after looking at both on a MK4 TDi are pretty much the same thing! I'll nip out now and get a few vids for you mate
My list is getting big of " mods to do " lol. Those tunnel vids as you say were let down by your mate matt, lol. What i mean is theres to much wind noise really apart from the start. Cheers looking forward to hearing them.

Would also like to point out, that my tyres make alot of noise without silly speed round a corner (first vid) and well, you get the general jist...

spot on cheers mate, that pipe certainly alters the sound! sounds really really nice and much better vids i think something like that would be a bit too loud for my tastes tho - my old car had a blue flame which sounded lush but annoyed me at motorway speeds wwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh :-( thanks for the whooshing bit as well, mine certainly doesnt make that noise at all!

Not a problem, these vids are alot better and give you a better idea of sound.
Its very loud, but I would say in its defense, off boost or cruising on a motorway it isnt OTT loud tbh, due to the nature of the exhaust, it makes noise when I want it to! Its still louder than standard of course on tick over but ive driven down to Kent etc before without being hurt of hearing!
Its good for scaring people, as there isnt anything on the roads that sounds like it, they arent sure whats coming.. and its only a diesel
whooshing bit was timed perfectly, didnt realise myself how good I timed it until I uploaded them, that was done in 2nd gear, and if you listern later its done in 3rd further up the hill.
End of the day, im a young 'un and its soon not to be a day to day car, so doesnt matter if its loud to me, im 100% sure on the other hand, if I was to use it everyday and wanted it as a 'normal'ish car then id have done the same thing, just thrown a silencer at the front and see what difference it made, if it was still OTT get another put at the back, and that should be just fine.

nice vids! The wooshing sound is very loud lol. Isn't that loud on tick over but it is when the foots down. Cars looking good as you say apart from a clean

Cheers matey, yeah off boost and tickover it sounds a little more growly, but once you plant your foot, that when you hear a difference, yeah needs a clean 2! Also need new reg plates, but im holding fire until I get my new reg plate...
Of course im going to get the car running 240bhp+ before I put the plate on next month
