Could also be that the gromit for where the clutch cable goes into the car has popped out.
Drainage holes are on either side of the scuttle tray.

Well i found a place called TPS (trade parts specialists) in London. Spoke to them on the phone to order the jacking point covers, guy tells me £1.50 each for the rear ones and £0.50p for the front ones. Obviously thought what a bargain but was very sceptical as i know if it sounds too good then.....

Well as it turned out it was too good. The guy quoted the wrong price. Since they had them there and iv been after some for 2 years (but couldn't bring myself to pay so much for so little) thought screw it and bought them.
They are a proper tight fit and i can the clips being broken in the not too distant future

.......You pretty much finally get the rubbing/knocking exhaust sorted, only to lower it, and get it all over again!

Mk3 exhaust will still knock abit. Well mine is. Its the way the hangers are on both the exhaust and the car. Im thinking of taking the angle grinder to the one on the exhaust pipe and welding a new bit of bar on.

you know you have a mk2 when you get something fixed and 2 others go wrong

Driveshaft fixed

Central Locking and Exhaust - Broken
