Is the 1.4 engine that easy to remove?? Why are you removing it anyway?

yeh most fwd's you have to drop the subframe gearbox,s are very easy to take out too, ive had the engine out and replaced it because the last one siezed up (partly my fault :D) shes all fine now bar a leak from the gearbox but im gettin that sorted when im back home :)

When you see the one you have just sold drive off up the road and get that instant sad feeling that you will never dive it again,……then go inside and sit there alone in silence and

I will miss letting a saxo VTR get level with me and then obliterate him as he thinks he can pass me
I will miss making the owners of brand new mini coopers look like idiots:cry:
I will miss people turning round as I drive past.
I will the flames it use to chuck and the noise of the viper induction kit and decat:cry:

The list goes on guys…

Suppose I still have the 8v….but its just not the same.

:cry::cry::cry::cry:

PS, my neighbours will not miss there windows shaking when I return home each day :D

Can believe you sold it mate. :(

I hope its went to a good home and another enthusiast.

If I had the money and it had been practical for me I would have definetely taken it off your hands.

I may be interested in the show cage your selling.

Gutted myself mate to be honest, i did my best to try and keep it but it had to be done.

I need a diesel and they funds to by it wouldnt have come from selling the 8v so mine had to go.

Yep, if you fancy the show cage let me know. Its quite light so postage shouldnt be to bad and i might be able to send it through work and post it for free.

Its a real shame however at least the 8v's there to put a petrol powered smile on your face. I sold my 16v due to cost issues.

I'm finding it really hard to let the 8v go, had so many calls and vetted them so i got an idea of what they'll do with it and turned so many away. Could of got rid months ago, guess its under my skin.

.....when no matter how many hours spent re adjusting the damn exhuast, it STILL rubs somewhere and annoys the fekk out of you!
Although its now blowing from the joint just behind the cat now, so theres something of a result

*still love it , though ;)

you floor it flat out smiling as it wind's itself up, deep roar getting louder n louder then back off as you run out of road only to realise it's going quicker with less pedal down than it did flat out ???

no, it still runs ok (had it cruising along at 125 on the 'Bahn's in Germany and it loves it, just had a little blow from where the cat/centre section pipes meet as the old bracket had broke and I'd used a normay 'U' exhaust clamp there, finally got an hour or so to have a tinker this afternoon so thought Id swap the bracket for the new (proper) one.. went for a little spin once back on the ground and its developed a rub from somewhere under load  ..
ah well, just means cranking the HU up to 11 for a while longer :D

you know you have a mk2 ibiza when chavs are sat at the lights next to you in their corsa laughing at ur rusted arches then laughing on the other side of there face when the 'rust bucket' hits 30 before they even lifted the clutch!!!

you finally get around to popping the little airpipe back on to the bootlock only to find the diaphram is fubar'd , get a spare one out of the shed, fit and realise the thing still doesnt want to play anyway

Rear one ?

Dewiper the bloody thing, no more puddles in the boot!
;)

rear one happened once, no puddles though luckily because i didnt have much water left :p

and the front one, just under the tank has happened twice, took ages to figure out why the water kept running out and i had a puddle of water in my garage...........theres me climbing on the garage roof looking for where the leak is coming from

Fl@pper, why the bloody'ell do you want to see out of the rear window ? youve already been there! ;)
*guess its my years of van driving, never really use the rearview , so looking out of the back window is not an issue :D
