Where did everyone fit their ballasts?

I stood there thinking.. hmmmmm.. but used some strong double sided tape and cable tied one to the washer bottle, and the other one i cable tied to the old air feed from behind the headlight. One of them seems to be a bit intermitent starting.

On some cars after market HIDS are annoying, with reflectors that arnt designed for HIDs and the light bounces off all over the shop., i was very caucious about fitting them to my LCR, but the headlights where so rubbish that i had to.

They seem to work really well in the Leon light housing, i think becuase the reflector finishes quite far back in the housing, and becuase they are so narrow. The light pattern is quite focussed/directional.

Dont go for anything over 6000k.. if got 5000k and fire blue, but fade to a crisp white. as the kelvin number gets higher the brightness gets less, but the colour gets greater, but to be honest.. it only looks good in projectors.

Only dilemea i have no is where to fit the ballasts for the high beams.

This is exactly my problem...I have the H7 hid kit -fitted the driver side ballast ok, but having problems of where to fit the ballast on passenger side?? Theres no space, can it be taped/clipped to outiside battery box?? where have folk placed the ballast on passengers side??

I done the same Nathanio.

On the drivers side, on the actual chassis leg itself there is a thread sticking out (10mm) I fixed one ballast onto that, done similar thing to my Dad's Audi.

They're fitted finally the drivers side was easy, but on passenger side it' wedged against the body panel and the battery box. Don' know how secure this will be as we didn't use any tape or clips on this side. I've taken some pics too will sort them out and post.
