Where did everyone fit their ballasts?
I stood there thinking.. hmmmmm.. but used some strong double sided tape and cable tied one to the washer bottle, and the other one i cable tied to the old air feed from behind the headlight. One of them seems to be a bit intermitent starting.
On some cars after market HIDS are annoying, with reflectors that arnt designed for HIDs and the light bounces off all over the
shop., i was very caucious about fitting them to my LCR, but the headlights where so rubbish that i had to.
They seem to work really well in the Leon light housing, i think becuase the reflector finishes quite far back in the housing, and becuase they are so narrow. The light pattern is quite focussed/directional.
Dont go for anything over 6000k.. if got 5000k and fire blue, but fade to a crisp white. as the kelvin number gets higher the brightness gets less, but the colour gets greater, but to be honest.. it only looks good in projectors.
Only dilemea i have no is where to fit the ballasts for the high beams.
