i would think a bit longer - want em to get wet ? i wouldnt fancy a shock off it :)

dont they get warm anyway ? never had guts to touch em - lol

with mk3 cupra lamps out already took about 10-15mins to actually fit em

Mine dont seem to get that hot.. heated weasher jets though if they do. BONUS.

at 35,000volts when they start. i wouldnt want a shock either, but they are water proof.. but that side was my brothers idea. I still may have a rethink.. when it warms up a tad out there though.... but it works. apart form the itnernmitent one.. but i think thats a connection problem where it connects to the oringal H7 connector.

I've had mine now for 6 months and MOTs wasnt a problem. Mounted the ballast inside the battery box on one side of the car (keeping a 1" gap between battery and ballast) and the other ballast behind the washer bottle so they are out of the way. Must be best mod I ever opted for

I'll need to see Stuarts at the meet, I don't want the projector lenses as the standard units look OK.

So the light is a great deal better even in the standard reflectors?

Does the fact that your only doing driveing lights stand out like a saw thumb when you have main beams or fogs on?

Saw a merc last nite with zenons and thought it looked daft as the rest of the lights were really yellow!

The diffence is staggering, i personally found the standard Leon headlights to be a pile of rubbish.

As long as you go for 5000k-6000k kits you will notice a significant differnce. I should of taken a before and after.

Ill try and take a photo from within the car this evening (when it gets dark)

Once again depends what you go for, it would look a tad silly on higher kelvin bulbs becuase you get a blue/purple light. Compared to the pure white of the 5000k-5500k bulbs.

Ive seen people who have somehow managed to replace their fog lights with Xenons, but your limited on space. Isnt the light from the fogs a fairly pure white anyway, but saying that don't tell me people on here drive around with their
fog lights on when its not foggy [:@]

I know id only drive around with them on when its foggy, but just wondered if it made the others look really out of place?

If not i think im going to order these tonight!

X5 HID Conversion Kit Normally: £255 - Forum Price: £225.01 + £9.99 p&p total £235. Order Here

Cant see any advantage to getting the X5 kit, i have the pilot kit and i cant see how they can be any better, they are soooooo easy to install

I nearly got the pilot kit but had to opt for X5 as other was out of stock both top kits and fully waterpoof. Benefits of pilot is they have longer leads and smaller ballasts.

If you dont like the yellow side lights just get some qaud side LED lights sorts out the issue in an instant

i put L.E.D side lights in mine and everything looks white/blue up front, no nasty yellowness now :)

just go for the Pilot kit mate, thats whats in my car...

My dad likes them so much that he's ordered sets for his Focus RS and 911 Turbo :D

Ive put up a few Q's in there feel too. Basicly do you need the X5 kit? as it only seems to be the filters used?

Haven't seen that thread - basically I just thought that, for the price difference, I might as well get the X5's as I'm expecting to take them and fit them to whatever I get next, so I might need the filters. Like I said before, someone who has tried a few kits recommended them to me.

Ow ok, cheers. Think i will get the pilots then as its only going to be fitted to this motor.

You have got me wondering what the difference in the pilot kits is now!
