Firstly glad you're not seriously hurt mate, thats one hell of a crash! I've Just had a look at the NCAP Ratings for car's in the Leon range and it makes interesting reading... The old style leon isn't tested but the new one is. Look at the difference between the Escort and the new Leon\focus... things have come a long way so i'd understand the decision not to get back in an old style leon even though i'd imagine it's pretty damn safe. Things can certainly progress in a few years!
