Drove my new Leon Cupra today (Krono update on page 4)

Hey Guy's,

My new Cupra arrived at my dealer last Thursday but at that time I was in Austria for a short skiïng trip. I came home Yesterdayevening so today was my first chance to go overthere and actually see the car. I am pleased to tell you i think it's looks great. The inferi black color is astonishing and the whole interior looks great. Then i had a 30 minute drive with the car that left me speechless. Compared to my present car (the Cupra4) it's steering and cornering is just amazing. I also think the power will be very impressive, it's a little to soon to
tell because the car had only (my) 30 kilometers on the clock and i didn't want to overrev it. To all of you English(or other) guy's who bought one (or are thinking of buying one) you made (or going to make) a great choice. :seatgod:

Cheers,

Eric

Ps. foto's will folow as soon as my wheels and sideskirts are mounted. :santa:

Looking forward to seeing some pics Eric. I'm waiting ever so patiently for mine, due March with any luck.

Have you added the Aero skirts? What wheels have you gone for?

Eric

Ps. As soon as the above items are mounted, i will make some pic's and

Looking forward to seeing them soon. Its the colour i've gone for, so would be really nice to see pics of a car in the Inferi Black, outside in proper daylight.

Be interesting to see how it looks with the Aero skirts too :)

Im very jealous at the moment, especially as i have no car until mine comes in March. :p

Cool. :)

What we all want to know, what do the brakes look like? same as the recent press shots or Seat Sport branded?

Go on - show us some pics pre-kit... pretty please. :)

The bakes look like the recent press shots with no branding.
I'll try to swing by my dealer in the course of the week and make some pictures.

Mark, have you heard anything more from your contact in SEAT PR regarding clarification of the outstanding issues with the Cupra, e.g when the order books officially open (and then likely earliest delivery time); brakes; any subtle cosmetic changes being made other than the grill; the development of a bodykit for it?

Thanks

I was thinking earlier "that guy must've got his new Cupra by now  "

Don't forget to try and get a picture of the turbo plate ;)

Nope, most of it has been a figment of some dealers imaginations. SEAT PR have said that the car is as presented, though there maybe a small revision to the grille, though this seems unlikely now.

Brakes will be as seen on the press cars it appears, std spec new R32 brakes given the size of them, still massive stoppers.

Bodykit, heard nothing other than what has been rumoured by some dealers who seem to be clinging to a grapevine. SEAT PR have not confirmed anything regarding any bodykit or any further alterations to the spec as already presented.

Some dealers will take orders now, but some will only deal with customers once allocations and details are finalised. This was supposed to be mid Dec, given that nothing has been announced formally. It seems January is when the order books will open proper. Depends who you talk to really.

I know my order is in with SEAT UK, but the final call off probably won't be until New Year, thats when it will be traceable at the factory. Dealers demo cars are expected in February, with March still mentioned as being when the first orders will arrive with customers.
