haha, i would love to cage it at some point but i sometimes take people in the back.

I bet you do! :p

Sorry, couldn't resist! So now the engine's in, what are your plans for it? Also, how did you get round the immobiliser issue? MK3 keys & clocks?

Loving the work done fair play boys.

Why dont you just bin the secondary air injection system altogether anyway? Surely that would have made it easier.

what about a basic 6 point cage with no diagnal? could still put people in the back then or even go for a removable diagnal so better for track days?

using all mk3 parts as mine does, this one was on AH profile key so used the turbo locking system aswell so we can upgrade to flip key

we did in the end :) no pump or pipework, we've caped off the airbox and plugged the unit on the side of the cylinder head, no warning lights as yet so all is looking good, which means mine will be going in the bin soon aswell

Drove the car back home today and it goes well! Not re-mapped or anything but it seems to have more low end grunt than the 16v did which is what i was really after.

Hopefully i will get most of the interior back in tomorrow and get her ready for the meet on saturday.

:)

no **** sherlock :D that'll be the turbo

good to see it's done so quickly though. I'd get an SPS unit stuck in it asap to see if that works though

Still haven't got round to finishing bits off yet and getting pictures...hopefully tomorrow!

Number 1 Coilpack went on it this morning so I will replace them tomorrow too.

Not much left to do, abit of speaker wiring and fitting the dial and dash trims.

Loving how much quicker it is though! :D

What was the old 16v lump running?

I never had it RR'd so I guess just 150bhp. It had the magnex cat back,a de-cat, K&N panel filter and the Samco intake pipe on but i doubt these changed the figures that much.
