You can see off that why one side is more smashed than the other, the side thats smashed hit the more solid bit and the other bit kinda went underneath!

Airbag didnt go off... You must have come to a pretty quick stop looking at the car damage...

Been replaced already..... blimey they work quick... the bollard my sister hit 7 years ago is still not been replaced but thats ilford for you.... lol

I hit it at 11ish on the night, the next day it was back in place!

Quite a common thing!

The car stopped very sudden like!

Arh ok. makes sense now... wow your lucky the car didnt end up wedged underneath it, being that shape it could have trapped you underneath it...

nah i hit it too hard mate, the gate was out of the ground 21 metres away with concrete still attached.

Ill get a pic of the area tomorrow,you will see why i was lucky anyway as there is a big trench approx 10 yards to the left and also a big forest behind the gate!

Dont worry mate, she will be back together soon, and back to normal and you learnt a lesson from it now, before you get something more expensive...

Lucky lad, and always a shame to see a nice car in a messed up way..

Dunno how they've costed that at £6k like.... mine was 10 times as bad as that (bumper disintegrated, bonnet, wing, 2 wheels, tyres, radiator etc..) and that bill 'only' came to £3500.

when you smashed into the gates did the car stall? where you able to drive the car home? or did a recovery come?

when i see the damage i thaught someones hit a 45 footer up the arse but it would have done more damage!
