P-Torque Maps?

anyone got one? Running one?

any good?

Any negatives or positives?

Only local to me and doing a £250 map at the moment for SCN members!

any helpful advise as i've never had a car mapped before...

Currently running a 007 forge, Milltek Cat Back and cone filter.

Cheers

Rich

I have a P-Torque Map on my R. Ive just had it re-re-mapped again as I had problems with the last one. (Was last rolling roaded at 179bhp & 191 lb ft).

I had problems with the car when first mapped so I would make sure your car is fault free if yiu get it done. My car is a lot more responsive now although im not sure if its near 200bhp yet?

I need to get the car rolling roaded again to see what its producing at the moment. I dont have a boost gauge either so i cant tell you what its boosting at either sorry.

Downside to P-Torque is no dyno and no way of telling what BHP and lb ft you have until its rr, unlike some of the other remap companies which have those facilites already.

But on the plus its cheap

i went to chipped uk mate.

was about £200 i think. but thats mates rates as a good mate of mine does some work for him, but has a seperate company

With all due respect, Dan's car had some running issues first time around, we have mapped around 35 1.8T's for members now.

I offered to try a different map on Dan's car free of charge, as I know he got ripped off by his dealer, and was having some bad luck.

I offer a 14 day money back satisfaction guarantee. I am trying to locate a MK3 Cupra member on here, who I mapped his car for, and he acheived 204bhp, against his mates Jabba tuned Ibiza at 201bhp

Do you use another company's generic maps?

If not how was the map written without having a RR?

Ive got an RR coming up in march so Ill post my results then.

Car is re-remapped now, All faults sorted, We'll see what it produces in March;)

Rolling road re-maps are hype. As long as initial tests are carried out on the rolling road, there is no need for a rolling road for a good tuner to tweak every vehicle. A rolling road is needed however when many substantial mods have been carried out.

We program base maps and tweak for each individual application

We are having a rolling road installed in 2 months, but this is more for before and after proof runs than anything else. Our prices are so good as we dont depend on external mapping.

Is your base map of an ibiza 1.8t been fully mapped from standard by yourself. Or is it from the dimsport library or another company like DMS automotive.. ect..ect

I'm not doubting your mapping abilities or tweaking abilities at all. In fact my first remap was a tweaked generic map and it worked wonders!!

After all the most popular remap seems to be a REVO map which is also a generic map with possible some tweaking

Hi mate,

I dont deal with Dimsport at all, they produce simple basic software which highlights some maps within the file. They can get a power hike, but nothing near the best in terms of power, response throughout the rev-range, drivability etc.

We use Winols for mapping, and work with various tuners within the UK and Europe, to perfect maps. Tuners worth their bread help each other on various subjects etc. For example, before mapping customer's new Leon TDI FR (170bhp) we had some friends in the industry test the new mapping, and we do similar in return.

does it really matter where the map comes from......it could have been bought off the shelf at poundland and then modified, as long as it does what it says on the tin and makes people happy when its completed then it really isnt an issue?
