I know it is a bit of a daft question but I assume that the service interval on the TFSI FR is 10,000 miles. The reason I ask is that the manual says 15,000km which works out at 9320 miles.

I am used to Japanese (Toyota & Mazda) or English-ish (Ford and Rover) and they have always given figures either in only Miles or Miles and Km.

I could ask a Seat Dealer but we know what they are like for product knowlege.

Cheers

It's 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first!

Its actually 15000km and it will come on before 10000 miles are up.

They round it up for the literature but you will find the warning coming up at about 9300miles!!!

It did for me - i think its to do with the units of the trip computer. Its all done in km and converted to miles for us in the UK

Seems a bit strange, as Audi service intervals are 20,000 miles, and they are the same engines.

Yep,

The Audi's come with the long-life oil / filter / pads etc.etc the seat's don't.

However you can ask your seat dealer to put the long-life stuff in it (more expensive) , and then do services every 20,000

Personally - my last car had long-life oils and stuff, and by 80,000 it was burning oil really badly, so I'd rather change oil sooner and keep the engine safe.

Yo. I can`t get you labour prices but i can give you labour times, it`s 1.3 hours for a 12 month inspection, 1.6 for a 2 year inspection(20,000) and .50 for a brake fluid. Hope this helps a little.

Just booked my TDI Sport in for a 20k service. £235 inc vat. They also advised me to have the brake fluid changed as it gets quite contaminated, which is another £52. Does this sound right?

The dealer put a sticker in my window that says:

Next Lubrication Service 19,000

Next Service 20,000

The last service was done at 10,000, so do i get it done at 19k or 20k

Any advice appreciated guys

cheers

Cheers all,

I thought 10,000 miles sounded right,

Is £94 typical for the 10K service? any body had a 20K service yet

Ch

I got quoted £194 from my local dealer.

I took it to my local tuning house instead for £100 :)
