Hi guys,

Excellent stereo this after having it a week :D

Everyone has commented on the clarity, better than speaking in the phone itself lol

Only one thing though, I seem to have lost the functionality where when I go faster, the radio gets louder & vice versa ?

Can I get this back ?

Thanks

Here's a few night time pics to show how good the colour match is :)

Not that i'm aware of mate, RobM seems to be a bit of a Stereo guru, he may well know of summit!

Pic's look good btw .. good colour match!

Will have to get some of my Alpine, thats pretty cool match up too!

Aye, give you about 20 colours to change the keys & HUD - you can change them independently too !

I'm just impressed with the phone quality & the quality of the sound from the OEM speakers.

Now if I could get it to change volume when driving, it would be perfect :D

Book also says it can control an Ipod, TV, DVD player etc.........

So your impressed with that unit? its the one ive been looking at too along with the steering wheel remote :) a quick question was it just the ariel lead you required?

Yea mate - well recommended.

Steering wheel remote - have you got a link, or is the actual remote (like a small TV one?).

Needed two aerial adapters. One being the power booster thing, and the other being the male adapter that goes in the stereo :D

Let me know if you need any help & I'll find the links to them !!

Some aftermarket headunits support the auto volume level thing, but I'm fairly certain the Pioneer you have doesn't :(

Got it sorted in Halfords :)

Bought the 2nd adapter, but where the hell does this spare white wire go (see pic above) ? Radio works ok, but the wire must be here for something ?

Took the dash off again to route the wire up the A pillar, but the only thing is now that the radio stations I set don't store when I turn it back on.

I'm assuming this is something to do with connecting it with the constant live, but any ideas how - the book is useless ??

Very packed at the rear of the stereo now though, I'll pack everything in with pics as soon as I sort out the presets being stored.

Any ideas appreciated

Thanks again

Chris

Hi Chris the lead that is coming out of this adapter is for a constant live, it is to power the areal booster thats whats in the piccy, i just connected mine to the live stright from the back of the head unit, it means cutting the bullet connector and the putting the live wires together then putting a bullet connector back on, then it should work fine hope this helps!

You shouldn't need to wire it into the permanent live from your stereo. Your Pioneer will have one or possibly two options that you can use. One will be a blue wire, that is designed to be used for remote aerials. This is the ideal option to use. The other is a blue and white striped wire that is your remote turn on wire. This is more often used for amplifiers, but can be used here as well. I wouldn't run it from the stereos main feed as that needs all the power it can get and the cable is already small enough.

Sorry dude, just re-read it and I was talking about something else... I thought the adaptor in question was the powered aerial adaptor. My bad!
