Hi, I'm thinking of buying a new Leon FR TDi 170 but hate the look of the angular standard front bumper and standard 5 spoke alloys.I've seen a few Referance sports with the full BTCC aero body kit & think they really look good.On top of the list price for a standard FR I've budgeted £350 for a set of 18's and the same for metalic paint but want to know how much I should be looking to pay for the body kit or a good all in price.Has any one out there got a similar spec and what did it cost?

:) Hi gaz, The body kit price is £750 plus fitting and paint (list price) kit contains front & rear bumper covers, side skirts, tailgate spoiler, then the 18" wheels extra! body kit part no is 1P1071670, twin exhaust price is £250 part no 1P1072002

The FR kit is really nice, subtle but enough difference from the rest of the range..

IMO your mad to start spending money to put kit on an FR! I love the looks of the fr

Why don't you just look at the Reference Sport 140, Seat were doing this as a special with the body kit etc, etc........then you can remap to +170, hey presto, everything you want :D

I don't know why they call it BTCC kit, it looks nothing like a btcc car, i always thought it was called the Aero kit

Plus when you get the 140 sport with all the kit on it, it works out £1k more expensive that the FR 170.. Why oh why? Save yourself a thousand pounds and have more power..

Which stealers have you lot been looking at?.............Ref Sport 140 with body kit was and probably still is available as a deal........£16k ish........FR TDI +£17K+ and at least £500 more than the TFSI..........

Oh, and to boot, the TDI 140 is re-mappable, so far the 170 is not......that's a fact, so as far as power is concerned if it was my money and i wanted a TDI it would be the 140 for me........:)

£17k for a FR TDi, way to much to pay. rear spoiler on the body kit is Gross!, side skirts are the best of a bad bunch.alloys are nice though.

Ipicked up my ref Sport TDI with the full kit on and 18" alloys etc this Wednesday and it looks awesome!! Was up at £16995, but apprentley as of May 1st they have gone up by 1k. Spoke to a few dealers who all conformed this. Looked into remapping aready, revo figures are 185bhp and 296lb torque (I think) not bad for £499. Will still work out cheaper than the FR TDI with remap included!!

I paid £16,200 for my TDI FR and it included.

Mats,
Mudflaps
Metalic Paint
Bluetooth
18" Wheels
Cherished transfer
Years tax

Oh and why not buy the 140 and remap it? - well Id rather buy a powerful standard car for now, dont want to buy a new car and start tampering with it..

Dealer quoted me £17k for the 140 with the kit btw

Michael, where did you get that price from? Its a bargain! Was it from an internet broker or direct from a dealer? I'm currently deciding on whether or not to get the Ref Sport with Bodykit or the FR. The FR will be £300 more to insure tho, but at that price is a bargain and a half!

At Wilsons Seat Rathkenny, near Ballymena in N. Ireland.. Where are you at?

Though - they only gave me £900 for my old car, it was worth £300 more, BUT, all in all I was happy with the deal..

The best price I've found is £15,845 OTR which is a £1,650 saving on list for a standard FR TDi.Would like to know who is offering the best deals at the mo, £16,200 for an FR in metalic with 18's and bluetooth seems like a cracking bargain. The Metalic & 18's are £350 extras and I think the bluetooth is £250.I would like an 170 TDi FR in zenith grey with 18's,bluetooth and convenience pack, forget the aero body kit I could use the £2000 that would add for alot better purposes, I'm guessing I could pick one up of this spec for around £16,500?

Yeah, quite pleased with my deal - considering the extras like years road tax and cherished transfer which add up to £200+ as well..

U could maybe get them down from that? Play them all off one another
