Hi guys,

I received a milltek cat back yesterday in the post and I'm not sure if it's the right one for the car.

The original invoice says mk3 cupra but the invocie with it yesterday says mk4 golf gti - are these the same exhausts?

It's just the end tailpipes bend at an angle different to that of standard which makes me think it might not fit.

Anyone got any pics from above of the backbox? I've done a search but can't find anything. I wanna check before I call them and make an arse of myself

no they are different systems, my mates mk4 cat back system came in 3 separate sections, my Ibiza came in 2 sections

the tailpipes make no difference though, its not exactly the same as the standard parts, its the bends and lengths that'll be the difference between fitting and not fitting

check the part numbers on the invoice, just checked the web and they dont list part numbers doh!

Well I just called them - apparently it's the correct part.

The golf Mk 4 and the Ibiza are the same and come in 3 different parts, we shall see when I come to fit it then I guess!!!

Well it looks like Milltek were wrong and the exhausts are different for cupra and Mk4.

Next milltek run for ibiza is end of june! So I've gone for a Jetex cat back which is slightly less money - these any good.....off to do a search :)

order your miltek from icj performance there the cheapest supplier of miltek exaust this is where i got mine from and was very happy with the service

Im hopefully getting a Jetex off Revo Kev on here, Ive been wondering what they sound like, been told there not that much louder than standard which is pretty much what i want.

Yeh I've only read good things about them - I'm going for the twin exit for the more standard look as I like the way it is now!

Will post some pics once it's on/arrived!

Also just been on there website and the oval looks the dog dangglies, much better than the supersprint one.

Has a big insert though, looks a bit stupid imo. Blueflame is the best looking oval imo. But i like the look of the twin round to keep the standard look but give a nice little rumble and any more power is always good! Not sure what a cat back does in regards to performance on 1.8t's? Any gains? Can't be much!

doubt any power gains at all - I'm only changing it because my old exhaust has rusted through!

I hear that a standard SEAT one is about £200 which is silly money!

this is a FACT,

when i took my car to jabba for a remap the only thing thing it had on was a jetex cat back system n a forge tip,

it made 166bhp so it gave a gain of 10 bhp spot on jabba told me

156bhp being std, they said the exhaust sytem freed most of it up

heres some pics of my jetex for u to look at

^ Looks sweet, very stealthy, I prefer the look of an oval but the look i'm going for with my next one i think a twin round one will look better.

Does the CAT restrict by any large amount or are they reasonably free flowing(as can be from a CAT) reason I ask is the Miltek system is only cat back with no option of turbo back which is what I would prefer..

Also, How loud is this sucker? I had a Magnex oval on my mk2 valver and whilst gorgeous under load it shook the front windows of the house when on the drive :)

Milltek do a turbo back setup mate.

Milltek downpipe and suspersprint race cat back for me, louder than full milltek turbo back but not too loud on normal driving.
