In the attic!
Went to Custom Car Developments in Hayes this morning to get my car ph.1 mapped and pick up my Forge 007P DV.

Met owner/installer Daz who then ran the diagnostic, no faults! so downloaded my ECU and sent it to Custom-Code main base. After a bit of a wait we finally got the map sent and promptly uploaded it to my LCR.

DV had not arrived yet so picking it up tomorrow. Then we set out on the test drive!......At first i thought  what the hec is this! Then Daz explains about the self learning ECU and assures me to have patients, we then arrived at the A?? towards ????? [B)] looked for a gap and.........whoosh!! Away i went, the car was noticeably quicker and very smooth. It felt like the stock map but with loads more torque and power.

So we got an empty stretch and i floored it in 6th, was pulling really hard with no apparent flat spots, got to 120-130ish and BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! the foookin temp sensor started screaming so we pulled onto the hard shoulder popped the bonnet and had a butchers, NOTHING!

Then i remember reading a post on this site about something similar happening to someone else after a remap, we headed back and as Daz put it on VAG-COM i used his tinternet and found loads of posts about the :censored: water pump!

Daz agreed it could be this but to make sure we swapped a few bits first and went on another run with VAG-COM attached.

MY GOD! The car flew!! was even faster than before! The smile on my face was like :funk: then the fookin temp went up again [:@]

Car is now going back to CCD tomorrow for cam belt, water pump, 40k service and fit my Forge all for £250 :p

I am dieing to open it up properly  plus got to be ready to show my mates FRS and FST what real pull is

:censored: Seats lol

I think there generic maps. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve only ever heard good things about them though.

Is the map actually made for your car as the custom code title would suggest?

The phase.1 is a generic map like revo and the like, but seems to be the one of choice if you want the best power delivery.

Trust me! I did looaads of research lol, but will give a proper account of how it is when its all fixed up tomorrow.

Can't bloody wait

If this is Ph 1 for £440, what do they do on Ph 2 and how much is it?
Do they do live mapping for Ph 2?
Did they do any before or after RR runs for Ph 1?
If they charge the same for Ph 2, ie another £440 you guys could save yourselves £380 and come up to Scotland for your maps.
For £500 Star performance will live map your car with a switchable map.
1 map, 1 time and before and after RR. this is done on the RR, so its a proper 'custom map' by nature not just by name.
I'm very surprised if they need to give it 2 Ph's to get to the same as Star will with one?
I can't see the benifit of mapping it twice when you can do it one and probably get the same figures at the end for both.
will be interested to hear how this works
Found this on the C-C section

Because C-C P1 is already on there you get 40% discount on C-C P2 price so that comes to £338.40 inc VAT

So I've answered my own question

£440 + £338 = £778

Ph1 + Ph 2
