Not sure if this is old news but wondered if anyone else had heard it..........

Popped in to the local dealers on Saturday to get a new plastic fitting for my Ipod (my new FR did not come with the latest Ipod Nano connection!).....by the way, if anyone else has a new 07 FR and is having trouble connecting the Ipod with the bits in the bag supplied with the car, you may not have the right bits! Took me much fumbling and swearing to realise it wasn't gonna fit!!!

Anyway, got chatting to the sales manager asking how the Cupra was selling v the FR etc and he said he had not sold many Cupra's. He then told me that a new styling kit for the Cupra was on it's way..........with all black trim parts. He didn't have any more info but he said he had ordered a Candy white Cupra so that he could put black wheels and the black kit on it............he said it was the F1 Cupra or something?!?!

Not sure how all black bodykits / trims would work with the other colours in the range but just wondered if anyone else had heard this?...........

From my experience the dealers know a great deal less than us lot do.

All I'll say is I will believe it when i see it. The fact he has no further information confirms the fact that he is spreading nothing but rumours. I'll await the press release.

Changes to 08 Cupra is simply a Black grille over the 07 which had a silver grille.

It has been rumoured several times of a body kit or revised styling kit. Though I wouldn't hold your breath. Next year would be my reckoning at the earliest. The kit will be able to fitted to the earlier cars anyway.

They can't change the body that radically as the tooling is already produced for the Leon. The cost implications of changing the design on a huge basis would be to costly to consider.

Most your looking at is a change of bumpers. The wings and bonnet maybe, but highly unlikely.

Just a shame that all the Arnold Clark Seat dealers are in Scotland.. and that you can not get the car in any other colour.. be interesting to see what the car would look like in black.....

dont be fooled if you went to a dealer and said i want the leather and black wheels etc on any other colour they would do it for the extra cash leather is sent out to be done by a coachworks company and wheels powdercoated not difficult at all
