Always heard good things about the GSD3 F1s but never ran with a set. I'm currently on Yoko Parada Spec-2's: quite progressive breakaway in the dry, never pushed on in the wet to find out how crap they're supposed to be! Quieter too than the Pirelli P Zero Nero's that come on the Cupra's IMO.

I did buy a set of GSD3's from a local tyre wholesaler, but they turned out to be the dodgy "Made In Thailand" non-EU approved tyres (not legal in the UK) so they got returned for the Yoko's after a week.

i`m geting some avon zz3`s fitted tomorrow. my p-zeros only lasted 9k and they are down to 1.6mm. bit gutted as i don`t drive that hard either.

i was happy as larry with my Kumho ecsta ku 31, cheap as chips and really good in the wet. only had them on my car for less than 500 miles tho so can tell ya what wear is like:cry:

ahoi hoi, first post in months and spotted within minutes now thats cool, hello Ad lav and all the old school peeps oh and err to stay on topic ..... i stand by my kuhmo comment ;)

just re-read this and someone mentioned michelins, what ones are they, i had mic'lin's on my 1.4 beeza, pilot premacy's (splg:confused:) they were ok but there are better performing tyres on the list for that money imho

Apparently the new goodyear assymetricals are the tires to have. Beat every other tire in some car mag test and meant to be quite a step up from the old F1's which it is replacing.

Somebody else has been reading EVO :p

I noticed someone earlier mentioned Uniroyal Rainsport 1's - I had them on my Clio and thought they were superb. Far better than the Conti SportContact 2's that came on it as standard.

I have p-zeros on my cupra at the moment but have had toyo T1 R before not a lot in it for grip but my toyos lasted alot longer. I would go for the toyos next time!

has any one tried verdrestein sessantas as there in the same price range as proxies and gsd3s but the tread pattern looks impressive and been told there **** hot but dont know of any cupras with them.

as ive got perelli p6000 witch for the price of them an my drivin dont work together

I ended up with four Kleber Hydraxers as that is what my local fitter recommended for the money. They are owned by Michelin and are geared towards wet weather performance. They seem really good in the wet (it almost feels as if the car is being sucked down to the road) but the dry performance is so so – not bad but not great. They seem quite a bit quieter than the Michelin Pilot Primacies I had before so they probably won't last so long (27000 miles.) The Klebers were £295 for four, fitted and balanced and, because we have an account with the fitters I didn't have to put my hand in my pocket, which always helps.;)

take toyo from this list but i prefere dunlop's tyres i am running on dunlop sportmax in my opinion they are the best for the wet condition.

ive been told dunlop are **** but some one else sugested the sportmax but think im gona try the sessantas as they offered full refund if i dont like em and at £180 for two balanced fitted the full monty worth a try as i know there winter ones are the dogs bollocks
