The wife rang me this morning after driving the LCR to work complaining that there was no boost at all.

She has just got home and said the car was fine on the way home.

However 2 weeks ago she said this happened on the way to work but car was fine until again this morning.

UPDATE:

Left home this morning and car had no boost (well nothing over 0.3 bar). Pulled in and turned car off and back on again. Car was now ok!

Anyone any ideas?

UPDATE 04/12/07

Got mate to put diagnostics on it. Only fault that was logged was "connection charger to throttle - pressure dropped"

WHATS THAT MEAN? LOL

cheers

That could hav failed causing to enter limp mode, recommned you check the diapram and check the hoses if they loose or leaking.
Th standard dv tend to fail and even quicker when the car is remapped.

if it was the dv would the car not be not boosting all the time?

it just could be leaking slighty from the dv, the other best option is to get it checked on vag.com to be sure.
But a upgrade dv is ideal for remapped car

I drove the car today and it had no boost (not more than 0.3 bar on gauge).

Pulled in and switched off car. After restarting the car everything was fine and had boost again.

Help please!

get it scanned on vag, it going into limp mode.

Will do. Car is still under warranty so if I take it to the dealers they could tell me whats wrong and should fit under warranty.

What about my remap do I need to take it off before going to dealers?

What remap is it? some remaps you can switch off. not sure if the warranty avoided if the car is remapped.

you wont be able to switch it off then
dealer shouldnt be able to tell unless you let them drive it

id agree with the d/v being a point to check, mine exploded on a standard mapped car going uphill in 4th full throttle

Its nice to have the code, but think theres a leak, some where near the Trottle body and the intercooler pipping. have a check for ripped in the pipping.

Should there be a rip in the piping after 12k miles?
