yeah be good to see it il have a look next time im rund mate! with these stretched tyres do you know anyone who will put these tyres on???

lol :)

Good luck, should have gone for 205's imo... martin has 205's on a 9'' wheel...

Could try my place, know them well enough!

you need a special typre machine to put themon aparantly??? 205's wouldnt give hardley any stretch at all with only an inch thiner but an inch and a half will give me a suttleish stretch and more clearance

Looking good mate! Really like old school Golfs.

Wheels look amazing, Get them on your beeza till the Golfs ready for them (just have to cut away half the beeza to get them on!.)

One question though....How are deep dish wheels balanced? allow having ugly balancing weights on the outside dish

not sure on balancing theyre probably ballanced the same just will be very fiddly to get them right i spose!

i am going to whip a beezer wheel off and sit these puppies in there to see what it looks like as i think it would look AMAZING and EVEN LOWER :p but would never fit

Finally got round to reading this thread dude, loving the work so far but I reckon you should have gone small bumpers (only because I have had 6 big bumpered mk2 and want a smallie :D)

I reckon you might be suprised at teh stretch of 205 on a 9, this is 215/40/16 on my old 9j's:

havent got any videos of my beezer in action yet but really want a flyby video got loads of RR videos but they dont do it any justice imo

my 16v had a audi 2.0 engine in with a porsche 924 fuel head, tubular manifold and got about 160 bhp out of it for very little cost as i got most of the stuff from a scrap yard.
Jim at awesome pointed me in the right direction many moons ago when he was just a wee lad in audley
