if your traction control is off does it give you any more power in the car at all? ive always got mine on so i don't know. anybody know?

doesnt give you any more power, but alot more control.

turn it off and have ago :).

on 1/4 mile runs it saved me approx 1 sec by turning it off....however I always drive on the road with it on, as braking without it can get a bit hairy!! Although I do turn it off if I want to have a lil bit of fun with another car ;)

Mine goes off the moment i start it, didnt think the TC really aided braking, more ABS.

i'm with you on that, the T/C definately slows the car down but not just because its electrical as it stops the car from wheel spinning etc....in mine you can feel it sapping the power away to keep control

TC senses wheelspin and firstly applys braking pressure on the spinning wheel (in first gear and second), if this doesn't work it then cuts boost, and finally it will cut spark after a few seconds to try and regain control, I've noticed that the TC doesn't apply brakes in 3rd 4th or 5th gear though... just cuts boost and spark

my TCS has been working for about 6 months now, but i'll glad when it gets sorted as its a right pain in the wet winter.

but to answer the question you wont get more power, but in the dry the acceleration will be better. as long as u dont get it lit :)

right cool, had it off today and it just spins upeven more, glad to get my car back now after the clutch problem. i just can't sell this car it makes me smile too much!! lol
