i ran mine, hard (including trip to nurburg driven there, abused and driven back) for 5,000 odd miles, but with only low boost i admit and had no problems. Not changed nowt internally, not even extra HG. (and the head gasket in at the moment done 50k odd miles before charging too)
 
depends what you want mate, i cant wait for it to be done, there arent many supercharged 1.8 16v Mk2 Ibizas, most either have the ABF and tune it, 1.8T or VR6. Superchargers sound awesome to :D

well i've spent £1800 so far, with another £700 ish to go, labour on parts, installing and mapping the Megasquirt, Cutting and welding the inlet manifold, boost hosing / piping, and a couple of other service parts

woul say roughly £2.5k would be a good estimate of how much this will cost me, i've changed and bought other parts along the way, like upgraded discs and pads, new plugs and leads, it all adds up

it shouldnt blow the engine up straight away lol

well yeah, have noticed also that turbo affects more engine.
how about with supercharger? how much power it gains?
 
dont know for sure, hoping to go from 130bhp to 210bhp, that would be enough for me :D

Turbos require more parts, like a custom exhaust manifold etc
