Well it's about time I gave the car a very good clean to get all that filth off it!

So far in my box of toys I have......
Snowfoam lance
Gritguard buckets
Wash mitts
CG Citrus Wash n Gloss
A selection of Sonus drying, polishing, buffing and general purpose MF cloths
Detailing Tape
Swissvax Crystal Glass Cleaner
Petes 53 Wax
CGs Wheel Guard
CGs Synthetic Quick Detailer
CGs Wet Mirror Finish Gloss Magnifier
CGs New Look Trim Gel
CGs Sprayable Silk Shine
Petes 53 Wax
Megs NXT Metal Polish

I am going to be getting a Megs G220 Menzera Kit. Will I need anymore pads or compounds? Or will the kit as is do for a novice to start with? If I do need some more pads/compunds anyone have any suggestions?

Wheels will be cleaned with P21s wheel cleaner and I am planning to treat the glass to a helping of Carlack Glass Sealant.

I know I need some clay but should I go for Sonus Green & Sonus Glyde, Chemical Guys Clayblock & Luber or Megs Smooth Surface Clay Kit?

Also a recommendation for a good wheel brush would help.

Is there any other kit I should be using that I've missed off the list?

And probably more importantly does anyone have any tips? I've seen a few guides to help with the washing, claying, machine polishing, etc. But any additional tips are always helpful!

Order will be.....
SnowFoam
Clean Wheels
Wash
Clay
Wash
Dry
Machine with various compounds & pads
Seal with Wet Mirror Finish
Wax

Which is hopefully correct?

Any other advice is always welcome.

Cheers guys! And I promise to take lots of pics during the clean.

That look spretty good. Sonus green is a quality clay and should be sufficient.
One thing I would say though is to hang off another 4-6 weeks until the worst of the weather is over and the temperature gets up a bit, it will make the products easier to work with. I guess the megs pc will come with 83 and 80 which should be enough to get you started but I find the menzerna range of ceramiclear polishes more effective.

Yeh this is all planned for the end of the month, weather permitting! More interested in waiting for the temperature to get up so I'm not freezing my arse off

G220 comes with...
2 x Menzerna Compounding Pads (5")
2 x Menzerna Polishing Pads (6")
1 x 250ml - Menzerna Power Gloss (S34A)
1 x 250ml - Menzerna Intensive Polish (PO91L))
1 x 250ml - Menzerna Final Finish (PO106FA)
1 x 250ml - Menzerna Final Finish (PO85RD)

I'm sure I heard someone say the Lake Country pads were worth a look?

That will be fine. not used the Menz pads I am Lake or Megs man myself. A medium polishing pad and IP followed by a polishing pad and P085RD should do the job fine.
