Its about time I started a 'jenks ride' thread, hoping this will give me an insentive to start putting my own twsited touch on the mk4. I havnt really done much exept put a few miles on the clock.

Some may remember this, my first love

Heres the mk4, had it since last july and it hasnt really changed. Not great pics really and It needs a good clean (clay, polish, seal, wax etc.)

Decided to get something done today and primered the battery cover....im thinking a dark grey? Engine cover will be done also.

Photoshop kev (Brummy's son) did for me

What I have done so far.........removed and binned the LCR splitter, removed wheels graphics and errrm thats it.

what exhaust is that on the car??? where did you get it from and how much is it??i want one

Saw the mk4 featured in max power a while back tidy car. photoshop looks sweet makes me want to do something similar.

Would love some amg rims Ed, unsure how I could make it work though.....can you have material taken off the mounting face of the wheel to increase the ET??

Exhaust is a custom jobby, it may be coming off at some point as I prefer a more stealth approach.

Buy the alloys with no holes drilled in them and get them machined to fit the ibiza or buy adaptors.

Got my eye on a set of wheels at the moment, just need to make a cheaky offer (Probably get refused). These are the ones I have always wanted for it

Think venom motorsport or similar companys sell adaptors so wheels would be able to fit must be possible after all, found them on a mk5 golf. So worst case scenario being get some minor arch work.

Mk5 golf has same pcd as a merc 5 x 112, so the wheels fit, ibiza has 5 x 100. Spacers can work if the ET is suitable, mercs usually have an ET similar to the ibizas so when you add on a 20mm spacer the wheel is going to stick out quite abit. Ideally if your going to use spacers the wheels need to be in the region of ET50.

Majorly looked into mate, I want something different yet have an oem quality look.

Unsure what to do on the mods front, just some personal touches, try to be different from the usual mk4 style.........that aero rear wipers going in the bin

The offer on the rims was abit to cheeky 9' rears and 7' fronts are abit extreme on the old stagger anyhoot.

Had a bit of a close shave yesterday, someone decided to indicate and not turn. Somehow he just skimmed my front leaving me with a big black mark and his with sod all, got home and it came off with a wipe....must have been tyre rubber!
