I drive a Cupra 20vt, 54 plate, 44k miles, standard apart from a forge 007p.

I was hoping somebody may be able to shed some light on my problem.

I'll start from the beginning.

About a month ago i was driving home and my car dropped into limp mode. After a bit of fiddling i disconnected the MAF, the car was no longer in limp. So i order a new MAF reconnected it and the car was again no longer in limp mode.

However......

The car was no longer whistling and it seemed down on power. It would also intermittently drop boost/power when wanting to accelerate in gear. It is usually worse in the first 3 gears.

I then checked for common problems on SCN and came up with the N75 valve, so i changed this and the car was still the same. Running out of ideas i searched SCN again and saw that coilpack failure seemed a new mikely candidate. These were changed on thursday and at the same time i changed the dv for a nice shiny Forge 007p. Again the car was the same but after driving for about 100 miles my check engine light came on.

Sorry for the long winded explanation but i'm running out of ideas and things to change!!!

Please help:cry:

The new maf u fitted could be a duff one, try refitting the old one and see if the other probs go away??

You are just wasting money replacing parts without knowing they are faulty. :)

Yea normally dealers do that for you :D It does sound like an N75 problem, but you've replaced that already.. Probably best to take it to a dealer and let them take a look for you if you can't get someone with Vag-Com to take a look. Tell them what you've replaced already so they don't charge you for un-neccessary parts.

Maybe worth an ECU reset just for the hell of it..

Cheers guys

I'm just putting off going to the dealers, i think may have to resign myself to it though. Interestingly my engine warning light has just turned itself off though:think:

I'm loosing my patience with the car, especially after taking 6 hours to change the front pads, bloody retaining pins[:@]
