SEAT Sport UK call time on the BTCC

absolutely gutted.

I was heartbroken at Silverstone watching Plato drop back the pack after storming to 1st place. If his bloody tyres held out I knew we would be in for a treat of a clincher at Brands. Instead I've got to watch a cheating italian scumbag cheat his way to the title whilst his cheating team mates ram everyone off. I've lost count this year of how many times another car has gone in to the gravel because of VXR

and now I've heard this news I'm gutted even more!!! They're the best team with the coolest, soundest drivers and deserved to win this year.

I'm a huge JP & DT fan, I really hope they're both racing SEATs for indie companies next year.

Im really upset, as the tears begin to well in my eyes, I cannot find the words to type
Just a shame they didnt let us know sooner so that more people wouldve turned up to bid them a fond farewell. Im away next weekend and wont get to go to Brands I guess theres always the WTCC but, its just not the same and thats only if they dont pull out of that.

Thanks to all Seat and all the drivers who have over the years given us heart attacks and the satisfaction of watching other teams fail so badly !! Showing everyone else that diesels are just as quick and if anything more fun to watch.

Thinking the exact same thing myself. I wouldn't be surprised if JP did end up heading to the works team. But I think a lot of things are still up in the air at the moment.

Words cannot describe how I feel right now. I just feel so devastated and shocked by it all.

I know we have Team CVR and Team Air Cool I hope will run next year too. But suporting them won't be the same as supporting SEATSport UK.

Goodbye and a very dear fond farewell from me to all who work in SEATSport UK. Especially NorthernSouth. And a very massive thank you for what success you did bring and for making the SCC massive. I will miss you all.

Yes that's correct, ITV4 are starting at 11.30 so all 3 BTCC finals races will be LIVE on Sunday.

Let's hope SEAT can go out on a stormer. JP hopefully will beat his record of 9 wins in a season.

Cross that bridge when we come to it. But it's not something that is pressing on my mind at the moment. The BTCC is a fickle championship, lots of teams make announcements of intent and then never turn up on the track. So we'll wait and see.

At the moment it can stay as it is, if anything it can remain for now as a tribute to a great team who gave us some great memories to cherish over the years.

In due course we'll look at other options for the graphics.

8 wins currently. He can potentially make it 10 if he wins the first 2 races, which isn't impossible as we've seen already this year.
