I thought there was two earths on it as one is on the engine block earth point and the other which i think your talking about is the one inside with i think two other earths going to it. Not sure though was a while back when i fitted it.
I've heard T'ing off the FPR can be a little risky as if there is a slight leak it can make the engine run lean without any notice which may cause damage
you will be fine with the t peice there mate.. there is 2 lines coming from the inlet one goes to fpr the other goes upto n249 valve.. either one of these lines will be fine
