when are you looking to get fitted mate, am doing my mate? Should doing my mates focus next sunday so if you want you can pop down then and we will do both cars at the same time!

My mate running 4 subs with 1500rms will probably be there also so you can have a listen to his car and have a all over body massage from the bass lol.

Seriously? I would love to do that if you're offering. It would only be the power and earth cable fitted, as still waiting on the box. Only if that's ok with you and your mate

Also, your mate who ran that amp with 0awg, did he have to get a distro block to 4awg to fit in the JBL or did it take the 0awg?

Nope need a distro block! The amp only accepts up to 4 gauge. Yeah mate just pop down and will get it done in no time! Only thing is though I dont have any crimpers, my mate said he has some but doubt it would be able to do 0 gauge as his focus is gonna be done in 8 gauge iirc.

What about the headunit and the remote on cable that sends the signal to turn on the amp?

got all the cables, just the distro and 4 awg, do you know any places that do 0-4 blocks?
Edit: don't worry, google helps :D

another question, What's the difference between having 0awg to the boot and then change to 4awg, or 4awg all the way?

Something to do with longer runs having higher resistance or something along those lines.

Basically running 4 gauge all the way with the current you want to draw can make the cable warm and it can only carry so much power. With the 0 gauge it has a easier time flowing, and then with just a tiny bit of 4 gauge connects to the amp. Because the 4 gauge will be so short it wont have alot of resistance.

Hope my really crap explanation explains things. :)

Yeah it does, thanks! Just this second got back from getting some 4 gauge, just need to get the distro blocks. I hope I made the right choice by getting 4 gauge earth as well. Would it make any difference if I had 4 gauge to earth or 4 gauge-distro-0 gauge. It's only gonna be a metre so I'm not sure

rule of thumb is that the earth should be as big, or bigger than the power supply. Id do it in 0 gauge personally.

ok no worries, only need to get 1 distro block and I will have everything, the wiring kit already came with a 0-4 block which was lucky

Right there's a tiny snag in the plan, my car is being picked up on thursday to be repaired and don't know how long it will take, so I might not be able to make it for sunday, I'll PM if I get the car back before then
