I just installed my angel eyes, just a question. There is a rubber garnish on the external side of each headlight that doesn't seem to fit that well and it doesn't seem to be pasted that good to headlight. Do you know if it is supposed to be removed from the headlight before installation or not?

guys I've a problem with one the 4 angel eyes that now seems to be lightned just 3/4, I've no idea of how they works but I suppose they have a led at the bottom that probably is not centered and so i've just to fit it better in place? I'll try to fix it and update tomorrow...

The light bulbs which gives the rings light looks like that:

2 Led which gives some light on each side of the ring.

Maybe a hoarse LED...

You can find it on the web

Funny, I was starting to remove grill and headlight to find out the burnt bulbs, then I thought I could try to remove the rubber cap that is under the angel eye working from the engine bay and then I moved the bulb with hands and it started works again so it looks it was just a loose connection. What I notice is that moving the bulb just a bit make a great difference on how the angel eyes is illuminated

Finally found the bulbs on ebay!!

they sell them 12v:
http://cgi.ebay.it/12V-LED-BULB-T-S...m14&_trkparms=72:758|66:4|65:12|39:1|240:1318

and 3v:
http://cgi.ebay.it/3V-LED-BULB-2-SM...m14&_trkparms=72:758|66:4|65:12|39:1|240:1318

I think I've to get the 12v one but if anyone have an idea about it let me know.

bowenthepunk yes there are a lot of wires but main headlights are just plug and play, then you just have to wrap all the other leds' wires on + and - it's very quick just be sure about polarity

my angels are a mare, one set of rings are out but been more concerned with the hid issues! All i will say is don't waste your time fitting hids in these things, seems they don't work well and the angels have major vision issues with xenons or hids reagrdless.Have heard this from various sources. i never noticed this much until i started doing a lot of driving in unlit areas...downright dangerous!!! hope all yours work better than mine however :) prob looking at going back to standard lights so if anyone knows of any gti headlamps going let me know please

wouldnt waste my money on them to be honest, chavs in saxos! Gti headlamps are very good and if your still not happy invest in a proper set of HID's £70-100 not the £20 from hongkong ****.

just my 2 pence lol

indeed so it seems,i got mine with the hids already in but know a couple of people who've said the vision on them is impaired badly as i've discovered. seems all the original connectors arec out as well for normal bulbs so may be more unworthy hassle having them rewired etc.there is also a dip in the plastic on both sides, to the front presumably a melting spot from the hids. i probably wouldn't have changed them had it not been for a smashed n/s but you live n learn:)
dunno where i've stashed the o/s lamp i kept either so looks like i need a pair,ah the search for rocking horse poo resumes.....

yeah was just going to ask which have you got?12v or 3v?

PS heres a UK ebay version http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12V-LED-BULB-...14&_trkparms=72:1683|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

and also found this to distinguish the bulb type http://www.geckoshack.co.uk/Lighting_Fitment_Guide.pdf

LOL now I'm confused, they show two different bulbs, one with the resistor on the bulb and one without it. The one I've on the car has no resistor on it so I think I've to order the 3v one. But strange thing is that I tested current on the wires that go to the bulb and it was 10v (that's why I thought I need the 12v one) but after I connected the bulb I checked it again and it was 3v that's why I thought the resistor was in the bulb.

Maybe the black box resistor works only when there is a lamp actually wired to it?

that is really weird, maybe thats the reason for the resistor?
i emailed the seller (as they also sell the angel lights) he said that the lights they do are produced by ABC Design and they have 3V bulbs but other makes use different voltage?
so i think it might be the 3V mate!
