Hi all can anyone help me.
I had an oil blockage in the sump and killed my turbo.
I have an AUQ engine and wanted to know the turbo number or how I can get hold of the number.
Can anyone help.

Also I have a lot of water coming into the driver side.I had this on the passenger side a year ago and refitted the pollen filter is this the same for the drivers side.Personally the water seems to be coming from the door speaker which was removed while i had a new window reg fitted.Any help would be great as I am cruising round in a fiesta 1.4 tdi ghia nice car does 70mpg and 35 a year tax but where is the fun in that.:help:

Been told that it is either a k03 or k03s so is there anyway to check.
Is there an easy way to get at this number as it is not visible from the top.
Recently changed the door seals i hope it is the speaker as I am running out of ideas and a lot of water is getting in.

Most likely at work
why not try a hybrid turbo if your getting a new turbo?if mine was ever to go,id go for hybrid. £600 odd compared to the stupidly fast GT28RS ones that go for £1k+

Found this from doing a search , as to whether its true or not i dont know

no difference engine wise whatsoever between Cupra and Sport, none. 180ps (pferde stark or german horsepower) is 177bhp, both are the same. K03 was on all early leon 1.8Ts, K03S and variable valve timing (VVT) came in from late 2000/early 2001 onwards with the AUQ engine. APP engines were all K03 turbos with a non VVT cylinder head and were fitted to cars built in 2000. There are a couple of other engine codes but they are much rarer, APP and AUQ being the main two.

AUQ is the more flexible of the engines. Its not down to the turbo, thats a very common misconception, its mainly as a result of the VVT equipped cylinder head on this engine. In short, if you can find an X plate Leon with memory electric leather interior, rain-sensor, ESP and an AUQ engine, you have a very rare car on your hands. My first Leon was one of these and I regret ever selling it, they are hens teeth. I'm more than happy with the 230bhp and 240lbs/ft of torque that my current AUQ engined Leon chucks out though.

The three letter engine code is stamped on the top left hand side of the engine at the front and is the first three digits of the engine number on the V5 Logbook document.

Well i'm sure you're right , in all honesty i dont give crap what turbo i have . I was just making a point that i have a leon sport early 2001 1.8t and the engine code is AUQ.

I say leon sport , but in my eyes its a cupra . It just says sport on the v5

Dont see how i was misleading . Sorry if i was i was just trying to give my opinion . Being a forum i think i have a right to do that and i believe if people didnt do that then SCN would be a pretty crappy place.

I know this is a old thread but im glad i found it, i actually have a x plate with memory leather etc, i was kinda confused as its just a sport not a cupra and therefore i had the impression it might have been a ko3, ive only started wondering lately as its time to get it mapped soon, so its a ko3s woo hoo :)
