Just done a google search - how can you bleed your brakes through your tyre pressures?!
This is what it says on the website:

How the hell does it work?!
You basically fill the container with fluid, connect one end to your spare tyre, and the other to the top of your resorvoir and it will use the air pressure in the tyre to force the new fluid into the resorvoir and push the old fluid out.
I'll have to do it to believe it and see how it really works! I think it's one of those things I wont understand until I see it happen!
Isn't the brake master cylinder in a right ba5tard of a place on the Mk4's?

lol yea it's deep down in the engine bay, that's why you don't want to knacker it
You only need to get to the resorvoir at the top when bleeding.

I might change the brake fluid while I'm at it.....get a long funnel. I seem to think it's right down the drivers side back isnt it? Somewhere really stupid like that.

To change the fluid, you just bleed as normal. You don't need to get to the master cylinder, just the reservoir. Normally you would change it if you were bleeding anyway to get rid of any air bubbles and moisture lurking in the system..just keep bleeding until all the old fluid and air is gone
But get a garage or somewhere to do it if you're not sure as it's quite important, I got mine done somewhere else incase I had any hassle with the Cupra calipers and ABS...just to be on the safe side. I've done my old cars, and some other people's tho lol

Ive got the gunson eazy bleed system and its realy good. That said, I tried it on the mk4 and couldnt get it quite right. Had to take it to seat in the end, whom suck the fluid out, rather than forcing it through. Apparantly this is the only way to get a perfect bleed with this brake system (acording to seat - take with a pinch of salt?)
Yea they have a VAG brake bleeding machine designed for that purpose, so it probably is the best way altho probably quite expensive . Personally I would at least supply my own fluid if I was getting it done at the stealers but at least you have some peace of mind.

They charged me £45 inc vat and fluid. Of that the fluid was only £7 - which I thought was quite good. I asked them about their machine and it costs £2.5K apparantly! A little more than the eazi bleed kit...
