Im not 100% sure on this.... but 7.5J will be 190.5mm wide (7.5") meaning 195's won't give you a strech, either they arent 195's or ive got something wrong. ?
100% they are 195, but i think they have stretch cos they are 40's not 45's?

That baby blue would look the sex on your car, go for it and put the pics up now!!

cant put pics up as its in the bodyshop having a lick of paint!!!
i'd say deep blue to match the pipework but red on polished edge with silver/black accents - mmmm

by the "accents" do you mean the polished part on the face of the wheel? definately going to run them baby blue for now but the blue to match my pipework is on the top of my list for when i have them resprayed!

Im soon to be running 7.5 wide 16" rims and am putting 195's on and Im not into all this stretch thing.

well if you run 195/40/16 there will be a little stretch for sure. if you opt for 45's i dont think as much but i just wanted to know. going for a euro look so a little stretch wont hurt!

Im confused here......
7.5J wheels are 7.5 inches wide, which is 190.5mm.
195/whatever/whatever tires are 195mm wide, therefore you wont be running any strech....
being 40 or 45 shouldn't make a difference as that is the aspect ratio (the height of the tirewall expressed as a percentage of the tire width)

Am i missing something?

Mate your gonna need 195/40s. My mate ordered some borbets and they came with 195/45s and there is a huge difference, 45s are not stretched at all. 40s will look so much better!

my 7.5J 16's BBS RC's are currently wrapped in 215-40-16. Obviously no stretch there but they also don't stick out the side.

I'm picking up 4 195-45-16's today cheap as chips. If its not enough stretch to my liking I'll get new ones.

standard size for a 7" rim is 205.

a 195 is for a 6.5

so a 7.5 with a 195 is about 1/2" stretch per side

the bigger the profile the less angle you get on the side wall hence looking like less stretch

i was gonna run 185 35s on a 8.5".....nice :D
in stead im running a huge strech on a 10" rim :D:D:D

i think you will only get a 185 50 16

the profile gets smaller as the width gets smaller ie a 45 profile on a 195 is bigger than a 45 profile on a 185 so a 50 profile on a 185 may not be too bad but its a big risk...

wot about 175 55 16 lol lol serious strech

artemis...wot your saying is right in theory but not in practice.

you can by 2 tyres from different companys. lets just say toyo and yoko

they may both be 205 40's BUT the yoko will be wider than the toyo (this is just an example not a statement)
