so 195/45/16 wont give me stretch hooch on a 7.5J, thats poo man. i did run 195/40/16 on my teledials but it looked a bit poo and was a bit :bounce:, so i stuck a pair of 45's on there and it looked sweet. they were only 7j by the way. really want a little stretch but not with 40's and i dont want to be running risks etc.

it depends on tyre/wheel/tyre size/wheel size

you could run the same size as before ie. 195 40 16 and it be how you want

let me dig dum pics out for ya of a nice 195 40 16 on a 7.5
also go sum silly 165 45 on a 7.5 iirc now thats what im talking about

when you go to a show you will kick yourself

i understand where your coming from but id rather turn up to a show with a sump in tact, if i could get hold of 185or175/45/16 i would buy them but i cant. would LOVE a little bit of stretch but 40's are too risky, like i said i had them on my teledials and it was a nightmare.

artemis...wot your saying is right in theory but not in practice.

you can by 2 tyres from different companys. lets just say toyo and yoko

they may both be 205 40's BUT the yoko will be wider than the toyo (this is just an example not a statement)

I see so the section witdth is around about what they say it is..

Nightmare mate, a nice little strech would make those wheels.

I've got 195/45/16's on my 7j wheels and they're stretched. Ok, not to the extreme in that picture but they are stretched.
Just to mix it up a little, all tyres have different side walls so you will find some may stretch more/less than others.
