Replacement Leon Cupra R Engine, AUQ or BAM?!

Mate sorry for asking again but did you get hold or have you got contacts with people holding an AMK Engine?

Was just discussing engine change route with a mate at work. Out of interest what's the easiest way to get them out?

I've got a forklift at work with a crane attachment so was planning to lift it out the top, but sometimes dropping the engine out the bottom is easier. Gonna attach the gearbox out the car, will make clutch alignment much easier. Do the driveshafts come off the gearbox easily, or do you need to take the arb and wishbone joints off to pull the legs outwards?

hey man! I dunno if its possible. But what about slicing in the 2.0 TFSI engine. Make a real change. So much more fun to tune as well. 340hp possible...

60k 1.8T engines go for over a grand.im looking at around the same ballpark figure.il let you know as soon as i find out whats hapening with it

hi mate, i can get hold of quite a few BAM engines but they all around 1300 some are + VAT and delivery charges.
 
is that with turbo gearbox and ecu mate as my engine is fine i just want the 225 bhp engine so i can remap it 260 lol can ya find out for me bud im new on here as well thanx mate

i think all you will need is the turbo then,since the main difference is the ko3 turbo compared to the ko4 turbo...same 1.8T lump i think...

dont quote me on that,its what im lead to believe though!
