true. thought i might ask tho cuz on the installation guide it says to make sure nothing is teed into the vac pipe. but still thinking off switching to the fpr just incase. and also to get a more acurate boost reading i was hitting just under 1 bar pressure before the dv was fitted now im hitting just over 1 bar fitted? dunno if thats right for a remapped cupra?

ok based on the comments above the dv should be fitted with horn pointing up? surely this means the air is being forced back into the tip which isnt supposed to happen is it?. I thought it should be set up the same as the standard dv which is recirculating into the charge pipe

Mark

Air is recirculated back into the intake pipe yes, not the charge pipe, boost pressure from the charge pipe goes into the DV. For the turbosmart to work correctly charge air must enter the bottom of the valve.

Also try and have a non-t'eed vacuum source directly from manifold to dump valve if possible - teeing into the vac pipe weakens the vacuum and affects how the valve operates (might not open far enough to properly vent).

is it possible that if the teed pipe is not pulling the piston up that is the cause of rough idle
and fluttering?
rob are you running a boost gauge ? if so where are you taking your vacum from.

The LC180 as 3 take offs i saw, one to the FPR and the other two go under towards the N249 (i think) ?
So if you by-pass the N249 that leaves one each for the dump valve, FPR and the boost gauge.

Are you running a standard map?

I might have to invest and see what one of these comes out like with more boost...

yep all standard other than what's in the sig mate sounds really nice when changing gear,

I was like you thinking should i but now i got it and i wouldn't swap it for the 007 :D:D

told you it sounded nice ;)
glad to hear no faults too.
they do sound wikid.
at low throttle you get a flutter then at full its a loud tsssshh!

yeah this is the same as the pistons not opening up as much. i had it with a bmc cda kit sounded so loud with the turbo whistle too.
