there is a panel that comes off like the fuse box , i had it off recently due to something rattling around the inside off dash (like a loose nut/screw rolling back and fore into corners etc )

didnt take notice of the spare fuse remover if there was one or not

Had a quick look and there was no spare fuse tool for me either.

However, in line with the original thread, I wasn't aware the panel was removable like the drivers side :D

First post and all that, hi everyone.

Hell and toe, it can definitely be done (on my Cupra anyway). I was doing it this morning on the way to work on an empty stretch of road. Clutch pedal on the floor, brake pressed lightly to start slowing car, side of foot rolled onto accelerator resulted in a lift in revs while the cars still slowing. I think all the can it/can't it discussion may be because the engine is relatively slow revving and the brakes are pretty strong so it's difficult to get right all the time. On my last car (MX-5) with un-assisted brakes and a very free revving engine it was a lot easier due to having to press the brake a lot harder and the engine revving up much more quickly.

To stay on topic a bit more, I didn't know that Leons were so picky when it comes to alignment etc. Mine was pulling to the left like crazy even after getting the alignment adjusted twice. Swapping the front tyres from side to side has helped and I think it needs adjusting again now to get it spot on. That's on nearly new tyres too.

A lot of people here find the sterring wheel always has to be slight turned left.

Mine was with Falkens on the front but fine all other times.

I had to hold the wheel to the right quite a bit to go straight and the instant I would let go it tried to crash into whatever was on my left, not good on a motorway at 'speed'. Close to perfect now though. I'm not keen on the tyres though (Pirelli P6000's) but as they have only covered about 2k miles I'm not about to bin them and spend out on a new set just yet.

Been to wheels in motion in my MX-5, lovely blokes and really know their stuff but for the cost it didn't do much before, as I say, it's pretty much spot on now so I'll just keep an eye on tyre wear etc.

Yeah, he told me all about the MX-5s dodgey factory setup was making people think the cars handled badly, yet all they needed were some camber adjustments...

That'd be the Mk3's. They've improved the factory settings on the facelift one now, back to it's best again. Wheels in motion are like a cult to all MX-5 owners, they are such fickle little cars that every little niggle you get someone will direct you to WIM. I'd guess that's how they make 50% of their money :D

Another thing I didn't know was that early Cupras didn't have the body kit (bigger bumpers, skirts) until after I bought my one with the black sections. Now I want a nice front bumper with the added splitter but have no money left :(

Yeah they facelifted them at some point (maybe 2003). If you want you can add the Cupra R splitter to your bumper cheaply enough...

Didn't think you can add them to these bumpers. Even if you can it'd look wrong.

Damn, can't post images or URL's yet - It's the yellow bumpers with the curved under black plastic section that I have.

As an unrelated PS, is there an attachment facility on this forum? After I post a certain amount?

There's a few pics on here where people have added the R splitter to Cupra facelift bumpers. Me included (no pics though). Looks OE. Needs a bit of modding as the sides are a bit long as are the little bits sticking up in the middle, nothing a stanley knife doesn't solve.

Just self tapered screws to fit.

Oh to keep on topic....I didn't know adding the splitter would make it too low for the local coop carpark! Yep scuffed withing hours of fitting lol.

nobody as mentioned that the faster you drive the loader the stereo gets increases every 20 mph

The fuel cap has wee cut outs round the rim so that you can sit it on top of the fuel flap, so that the cap doesn't rest against the paint.

Just not long found out about that :D
