Hey folks! Im back to the MK4 Ibiza now, a whirlwind romance of a Mk3 Cupra, then a Mk4Cupra, then a MK3 Cupra, now another MK4 Cupra! :lol:

Anyway! First thing for me to do is to sort out the airbox, on the MK3's, Jetex was the one to have... I've searched on this section but only ever seen Damo with a Halfords one, and Rich I think has a Jetex...

Would I be correct in assuming it's the same as the MK3 Jetex filter, the one I need?

This one;

FC-07003 (70MM)

Cone Filter - 160mm / 140mm / 150mm / CHROME
FC-07003

No remap or anything yet, so I don't expect any sound difference, the 007P will come next, followed by a remap.

It *may* be a Revo 1, but might consider the CC or others, some quote 210, some quote 220bhp for a stage 1 map, im guessing they are much of a muchness unless you go custom stage 2?

I'll make a post when I get the car this week also with pics etc :)

Hi mate im also using this halfords filter it does have a bit of a growl and also gives the dv a gd noise but i have been thinking about splashing out the extra cash and getting the Jetex as i think it would look nice with my blue forge tip :D

id go for the jetex, i cant see how these cheapo halfords filters can be anygood at filtering. You pay what you get for comes to mind

I bought a Jetex as you mentioned. I don't know how much a Halfords one is, but the jetex cost roundabout £50 with tax and delivery. Does the job, makes the dv louder as a side effect. So much so that im going to change my turbosmart dual port back to a 007p.

Im currently running the Halforsd universal cone filter without any problems (229 & 225 bhp on the last two dynos) but will prob get a Jetex filter soon.
