IMO, because he will be sticking an "R" badge on a car that isn't an "R"

Maybe get a biro and write "R" on the v5 document just to make it a bit more real

like having a Ford KA 1.1 "R"

If he wants an "R" go and buy an LCR and proudly display a real one

I think the point he's making however is there used to be a Cupra-R Ibiza.
However they dont make one anymore, He however will be driving a modified Ibiza so Sticking the R on there (Which I can only assume stands for racing) isnt a bad thing.

Everytime I run an insurance quote it asks if I'm in a Ibiza Cupra or Ibiza Cupra-R so maybe they made one in the EU?

Regardless I dont know why they didnt continue the R series in the Ibiza. I say bring it back ;)

Although after seeing the new LCR I have no idea why anyone would put the R on the car because its as much of a disappointment as the new ibiza cupra.

Hey folks - seems to have caused a bit of controversy this thread lol!

I know the reasonings behind both sets of arguments, for me, i've decided to go without putting any sort of R badge on my car, even if it was a 300bhp version, ultimately as has been said, it's a Cupra, not R we can't pretend they made one.

But for those who would... I wouldn't laugh if I saw one about, if it was a Cupra of course, if it was a 1.2 and someone did it, I would laugh, a lot!
