right I've done a bit of searching around on the forum so could someone just answer this question for me?

I'm about to buy a Cupra TDI but it has the same front bumper as the car on this thread:

Am I right in thinking this Cupra has had an FR bumper fitted at some point as its a 2003 so before the change over (all be it a dec 2003) or where some just made that way from factory?

I know you're probably wondering why I have such a thing for bumpers but it's simply that I'm trying to trace the history of the car and a previous accicdent and I'm guessing if the front end's been replaced then this would be the area that got a whack.

Thanks for looking.

The car in you link is either a Cupra with the Cupra R front bumper fitted or an FR+ which came as standard with that type of bumper fitted 2005, the last of the mk1 Leons

Those wheels look more like the 17" replicas to me. Obviously can't be lying tyres wouldn't fit just don' tlook right.

So, we have a Leon with Cupra badge on back, FR letters under side repeaters and R bumpers but a custom plate so can't find out what it is...interesting.

I'd be tempted to go with Cupra + added wheels, interior and FR badges for some reason.

So if I'm buying a late 2003 TDI cupra with that front bumper the front ends been replaced at some point, correct?
