Hi All,
I've searched on this but can't find anything quite like my problem!
Was just driving back to work after lunch, slowed down for a roundabout but it was then really awkward to engage first when I stopped. It felt like there was some resistance on the gear lever (like stirring really thick porridge lol!!) and it was difficult to push the lever all the way to select first.
The car drives fine and works in all gears, with no clutch problems but this strange resistance to engaging gears is still there. The really odd thing is that it is sometimes in first gear, and sometimes in reverse!!
It occurs on the move or stationary with the clutch depressed.
Has anyone had or heard of something similar? My first thought was maybe something up with the shifter on the gearbox or the linkage, but it all looks ok, and gears 2-6 are fine!
Any thoughts appreciated!!!
Cheers
