I like the design of the yellow one, but I can't imagine that it will be like this as the car in the pictures seems to use the same basic design from side view.

I thought if the Mk3 was to be an 'all new' model then it would be as radically different as the Mk1 and Mk2 leons were.

Your right.. Ya can see here they've added hidden rear door handles. But there's gonna be a Leon SC this time around so why bother!!!

I'm about to change my Cupra R 225. Do I buy a nearly new Cupra K1 or wait for Cupra R? And how much is the R gonna cost? Will I be disappointed after my 225 or has the mark 2 moved the game on? Advice from the mark 2 guys please cos I've not driven one yet!

MKII has moved the game the engines are much better IMO than the 20VT lump more refined smoother power delivery and more economical. The Leon Cupra R will be the FL version and I think that is better than the pre FL Leon. Interior has improved quality wise, improved dash display, climate and stereo. USB is now standard on Cupra/Cupra R. Suspension more compliant. Exterior wise the changes to the rear window front and rear badges and bumper have made it look less MPV like with a lower more sporty stance.

Handling of the MK1 R was sharp and MKII is pretty similar just a little more refined. Personaly I would wait for the R but no harm in test driving a K1 and seeing how you get on. In the end a good test drive will confirm or deny what is best to do.

That's the basic 1.4 the FR and Cupra come with anti-tank missiles or rear dimming mirror depending on your prefrences.

A couple of concepts I found. Not too fond of them myself but is gives a general idea...

Looks like a quasi-molested Volvo C30 that hit every branch of the ugly tree as it fell out. If SEAT build it looking like that, it should be made legal to burn the factory down!
