well its about time i had a good update to my cupra so here is a lil sneeky peak of things to come soon that i have ready to go on
supersprint race system 2.5"
i wanted to powdercoat my engine bay,rocker cover,charge pipe,inlet mani ect ect but at some showa ive been to ive seen this like ruff looking paint,looked all wrinkly funn y enuf in philw thread i see he had done this and i did not now that it was priity easy to do your self and i much prefer this look to the normal powder coat thing so i did it my self

yea i did exacly the same mate four coats all in diffrent directions leaving to dry 5min beetween and at the end i left it to dry 10min then i hit it with the heat gun then comes on the wrikles
i did some testers on a plane bit of metal for a start,i would of turned out that i was putting it on to thin for a start on the tester plate,as you say it need to go on pritty thick but not to thick so it runs i think that is the key and the heating at the end,imo it looks so much betta than normal powder coating
i well chuffed with how its all turned out
takes a good while to dry propper after tho dont it,have you notice,or did you put your back on as soon as you could
Wooohoooo, so glad it turned out alright. In hindsight i should have done a test piece first. lol.
right so basicly the hole look of the car has changed and will be even more changes to come including 16" comp mo`s brembos so im just going to tease you all in slowly by first showing you my engine bay ,id say im 85% done on the engine bay
ok say i tinkerd with it first and got what i wanted ....but then i keept getting so fed up with polishing things like the inlet mani/rocker ect every week or two so this is what i came up with
