also i got my lcr seats in courtesy of brad but everyone knows what they look like so i wont bother putting any pictures up of them lol........
i had an interesting read in this months pvw there is a gold tdi thats had stage 2 hybrid and its got the same bogging own problems as me........ so it seems i am not alone in my problems after2.5k my car performs perfect but i cant use the forst 2.4k as the car just smokes and goes nowhere.......
in pvw it was put down to a clogged egr valve but i have an allard race pipe so i am thinking maybe my mani is blocked but its highly unlucky as this only happens at low rpm........

Since my new piping my one spools really early now Karl. I know you have hard pipes as well so there must be a restriction somewhere long the line tbh. It could very well be the manifold needs a good clean out. Benifits of this will be quite dramatic I think seeing as your car has done a few miles.

yeah 66k now..... thing is i put brad ynatwist on llast night and took car for a spin and the booest was all over the place like when i had the other turbo on.......put air box back of performed pretty well.....so i am now wondering if i should go back to a green cotton cone again...... and get rid of the pipercross foam one...... its worth a shot......
i might take my mani off and egr and clean it all out
i might clean it out and put green cotton on it and get amd to tweak the mapping for me....ill have a word with sean this sat as im over amd.......ill be there bout ten will you be there??ill take you out show you what i mean

i am wondering about the fmic too now BUT allard have had higher powered tdis on my fmic if only i could borrow a forge one connect it up just to see.......

then i was getting bored of my ride height so i bought some coilies....my mate has a leon tdi 110 and dropped his 100mm so ill be going about the same maybe a wee bit more.......

 Thats a good one....

Funny that, when lowering to about 55-60mm you have only left 1-1.5cm between driveshaft and subframe which is essentially neccesary to keep the suspension working...

Go lower and the driveshaft will have contact with the frame at the first street bump you drive over, unless you weld some halfpipes into the frame.

But maybe the lowering measurments in UK is the made the same way like UK-bhp measurements:

Always 15-25% more than in the rest of the world:p:p:p

Regards, Alex

well my mates bought 120mm lowering coilies and he has no bangs or rubs at all...mine is 50mm as we speak and i have loads of room under the car.......
plus i can name loads of people on here that are lower than50mm with no problems....only the bumper hitting the flooer which aint exactly a problem

No, I absolutely DONT hate UK, i lived in Llanelli for over 2 years and it was nice.

@ strugers: I was reffering to a Ibiza, thats my mistake, on Seat Leon there is a little more room left, thats correct, my previous Seat Leon Cupra4 had 12cm between underfloor protection an street in stock condition, so I dont think that lowering 10cm would have worked.

@ cupra.al: I dont mean the arb, I mean the frame of the car.

Regards, Alex

oh ok cool well ill o it and if i have problems ill raise it up a little.......

the main prob is the arb hitting the driveshaft or rubbing it. most aftermarket arbs like my kw one, have larger hoops, but i've also got adjustable arb links too, just to be safe.

yeah i got the eiback arbs atm and there suite for there coilies which lower to 120mm ill prob go100mm max as i have got to be able to get on and off my drive.......shal be interesting to say the least

ok after fitting my front coilies and me being lazzy it took another week for me to lower the back here is the rear ride height before coilies

i am happy with the resukts and the car drives well....
also i fitted a new fuel filter and it seemed to help tone down the bogging own problem, so i think im gonna call amd and say i thnik this was the problems and ask if they could try a new map now the majority of the problem has gone:D

i must admit mate i stopped using millars addative(dont know if thats as good) but when i had my stage1 hybrid the car worked perfect.....where can i get this stuff??and can i just put it in fuel tank??

Millers is more of a gentle cleaner with added cetane so gives slightly better performance, Forte is a strong cleaner which is only really for trade use which is why you won't see it in halfords etc. I got 2x 500ml bottles of ebay for £20.00 which is cheap, You can just chuck it staright into the fuel tank, but when I service my car its a good idea to fill the fuel filter up with fuel makes it easier to start, no real bleeding required. But I fill it with forte so its less diluted when it gets to the injectors so it will clean tham and keep a good spray pattern, which is crucial for good combustion, also it will clean any sludge or tiny deposits in the fuel system so in feed pipes etc, which can sometimes cause hesitation as they restrict the flow of fuel to pump/injectors, meaning they're not getting required fuel. it's just good maintanence really. My cars done near on 100,000 miles and i'm going hybrid soon in my opinion it's important to keep a standard car well maintained, but even more so when you tune them up abit. Hope this helps.:)

ahhhh i see ill look now and when i get paid ill use it asap....put the whole 500ml bottle in the tank??

yeh chuck it in a low tank so its a bit stronger. If that doesn't help yon may need to do diagnostics test on it with a computer see, if there are any error codes, but if its improved a bit allready with a new fuel filter i'd imagine it just wants a bit of clean in the fuel lines could be condensation or a tiny bit of crap just causing it to struggle. it'll also improve your injectors because they're probably in need of a clean too. good luck mate keep us upto date.:)

Thats as low as I had mine initially and I bet you that you raise it because even the smallest road hump will ruin the front splitter. It also makes the handling worse as the driveshafts are pointing in wrong direction.
