Well from peoples posts regarding M1 autos its plain to see that they are going down in peoples estimations.
I dont know why dealers make things so difficult , i am sure if they said we messed up really sorry , we will do everything to rectify the mistake , failing that we are prepared to do this for you , as a customer you will still retain the warm feeling and continue the relationship with them but now i would be thinking wouldnt touch them with a barge pole !

i dont think dealers recognise the knock on effect in lost revenue by treating customers so badly , they should take a leaf out of David at Sere motors , his service and knowledge are second to none.
I did read on a post on this forum that SEAT only get involved with a franchise if they bring SEAT into disrepute , trouble is i see it all too often and also from my personal experience :(

Very true and M1 auto's do excellent deals but even on the day of the pick up it was not a dealership I felt trully comfortable with. If they had just put there hands up and said yes we cocked up and we can do.........M1 auto's seem more market traders than car dealers wanting to shift stock to earn bonus's. Worse when on such a highly populated site that get's read by many the various tales of poor service are mounting up. Everyone makes mistakes it is how they are handled that makes the difference.

In the end SEAT did what they could investigated it fully and came back to me with straight replies. At least SEAT know that they may not always tell the truth fully and shift the blame........oh and not let's forget holding back the cheque for the money they owed us and took a phonecall from SEAT fro the cheque to be suddenly put in the post!!! SEAT's goodwill offer of a free third party Sat Nav was fair and reasonable.

I will say may faith in the brand has been restored after having a good chat yesterday and the car is spot on another reason I don't want to change it to a media fitted one. But SEAT do need to kick some of it's dealers up the backside and get them, to be more open and customer focused and even liase with SEAT to see what could be done if things go wrong.
