Just fitted my first ever boost gauge, first ever car with a boost gauge in fact,
Anyhow just want to check the figures with you all, it's a halfrauds auto gauge, and i'm running a stage1 P-Torque map,so here goes, engine 'off' it reads 0,engine on and idling at standstill it drops to 20 inhg.Normal driving in steady traffic it drops to near 30inhg,then when I boot it,needle hits 16-18PSI then drops gradually to around 12PSI.

are these figures ok as i'm thinking i could have a boost leak somewhere?
cheers.

Cowie have you got a pic of your boost gauge installed? Curious to see what the Halfrauds one looks like setup..

cowie your readings are fine, no need to worry :)

Hi mate, the reason I'm unsure about the readings is that I've been running some logs lately, with some guidance from DPJ,logging 032 fuel trim i am getting some bad numbers,3.8% idle and -18.8% multiplicative,Dave thought a possibility for these figures could be a boost leak, and, because my leak testing gear hasn't arrived yet i got my boost gauge set up,so from what you guys are telling me,i don't have a boost leak?

So unsure as to my next move regarding the fuel trims.

looks good mate was thinking of doing this myself but wasnt sure about how it would look.

You may have convinced me to get them now :D

Mines also the same on idle but I feel I have a boost leak too.

What code have you got.

Nathan

peaking about right, but it seems a 6psi drop across the range its a tad high, i peak at 18.1 and drop to 14-15psi constant,

id just go round your boost pipes and give the jubilees a little nip up :)
