yeah I know it's gunna make it much better to drive

does the power come in earlier or last longer etc. ?

I'm really torn on whether to get it done before or after winter :S
It would help as it would be nice and smooth map, yet having an extra 50bhp may be killer
I won't be driving stupidly so probs just being over cautious

i got mine mapped in 4 inches of snow lol if you can drive there is never a prob of having too much power

my old TDi went everywhere haha !

everyone couldn't get to my grans house because of the steep hill and snow, but it just plowed up the hill hahahaha ! <3

if the government hurry up and send me my cheque I will book in =]

200bhp is a more realistic power figure. SMIC does let it down somewhat.
Saying that, I had mine mapped by Will and saw 229bhp on his rollers (but it was -2 in the workshop when it was being mapped ) At JKM, it ran 199bhp (and it was due a service) so 200bhp is more like it!

Those figures are the ones i've got from my p-torque stage 1, I have the print out to prove it. Regardless of how accurate or inaccurate that particular RR may be, thats what i'm told, so thats what it is to me. You could take it to 10 different RR's and get 10 different readings, which ones right? Do you take the average? thats not an accurate reading then, some could be way out which would send your average way out.

It wasn't extremely cold or extremely hot it was just your average british day, I have no FMIC and Will said I'd be fine without one. I have been, it doesn't run hot or anything its spot on and I don't hang about whilst driving.

He also said mine made more power than most he has had.

Its not about BHP or Torque anyway, they are just numbers, a remap is so much more than just numbers.

you have the same amount of torque as a stage 2 car running 245 bhp i agree with rollers being different but common sense has to come into it when you pull them figs of

Im booked into see will next thursday! cant wait. Ive got an 07 cupra 20vt (180) anyone else on stage 1 from him? what figures are you running? cheers in advance.

Will's maps aren't just a uploaded generic one. He writes them and plays with them a bit on the car (when its on the dyno and after a test drive if necessary). So I guess you could say his are all custom maps!
